Hi all,
I am working in IT company started in May 2019. I took 3 weeks paid vacation in feb 2020 and went to India. Does my 3 weeks count in work experience or should I apply for my PR after completing additional 3 weeks that would be in June. Thank you for your help.

as long as the paid vacation is as agreed in your employment contract, it counts because you are entitled to it as an employee.

Hi, did you have to work an additional 3 weeks after you completed your work experience?
time off is considered part of work experience as long as it is within an appropriate limit. Most companies offer 3-5 weeks paid vacation and you don't need to work extra 3-5 weeks to make up for your vacation. Vacation is part of work exp.

Thank you for responding. My question is did you add LOE mentioning your vacation?

There's no reason to mention mention vacation in LOE because vacation is only between you and your company. IRCC has nothing to do with it. It should also not be mentioned in your reference letter. But if your reference letter mentions it, or if you left Canada during your vacation, you might have to provide it in LOE.

That makes sense. My question would be how will IRCC know if I worked remotely for 4 weeks outside of Canada or I was on a paid vacation? Did you mention the weeks you were outside canada as vacation in your travel history?
