I have come to understand(correct me if I am wrong) that in Canada it is very difficult to secure employment in line with your experience and qualification without Canadian work experience.

I have over 2 years experience working in London, Luckily I did not have to compromise and I just started in London from where I had left off in India. I understand that your area of work also makes a lot of difference but generally does having UK experience improve my chances in any way.

If your profession is a regulated profession in Canada, working experience is not the first factor to be considered. You must have to have a license first to practice. To qualify to take the licensure exam, you must first prove to them that you are academically qualified, meaning you got to have your educational qualifications assessed first to see if they are equivalent to Canadian standards. If you are not coming from a country enlisted as members of the so called Washington Accord, most likely your education will not be accredited and you have to undergo some upgrades or some sort of bridging programs.
