Assuming this is for FSW class, and not CEC.
There are two factors - qualifying work, and total work.
1.Qualifying work must be at least one year of continuous work. Your work from May 2018 - present qualifies you for FSW since it is one year of continuous skilled work in one NOC.
2. Once qualified, your total work experience is the number of months of skilled work in the past ten years. This can be in multiple NOCs (as long as they are NOC 0,A,B), and it doesn't need to be continuous. So you can combine all your work experience for when you get CRS points.
Dear Sir, Thank you very much for your reply. I have one other specific question related to my work experience:
Currently, I am creating profile for Express entry and have to answer a few questions to verify my eligibility. I possess 4+ years of work experiences. I can say NOC is same for 4 years but i have worked under 2 different companies. I have doubt in filling answers for below question in eligibility assessment.
"In the last 10 years, how many years of skilled work experience do you have? It must have been continuous, paid, full-time (or an equal amount in part-time), and in only one occupation. "
Options are:
A) None
B) Less than One
C) One
D) Two to Three
E) Four to Five
F) Six or More
My work details are given below:
Job 1 - Nov 2013 - Jun 2016 (NOC-2171)
Job 2 - May 2018 - Present (NOC-2171)
In between my two jobs I completed my MBA degree (Jun 2016 - Mar 2018) and hence the gap in my employment. But Both my jobs are in the same NOC.
Could you please help me understand which option can I select given my situation? Though, my combined work experience is more than 4 years, it is not continuous and I am confused what to select. Please help me!
