Work Experience related question (work experience letter, personal history)

Hi seniors,


I have some questions about work experience(FSW), would appreciate it if you can share your advice:


(1) I read somewhere in the forum that if you are not claiming points for a work experience, you don't need to add this piece of information in the work experience section, but, you need to add this work experience to personal information.

Is it correct/safe?

(2) I signed the contract for this job (which I am not planning to claiming points cos it's less than 12 month, and it has a different NOC code from the job I am planning to claim) about a month before I graduated from school. So there is some overlap in personal information. Do I stick to the truth (such as graduated in 2013/06, job A started in 2013/05), or I can just write things like ‘graduated in 2013/06, job A started in 2013/07'?

(3) For the work experience I am claiming points (current job), I have this experience letter, it would be of great help if you can tell me whether this work experience letter is sufficient & correct for CIC or not, and hopefully someone else might find this useful later:

Date: 2015/10/01

To Whom It May Concern:

This letter is to verify the employment of XXX who work for company XXX as a full-time Software Engineer (Research & Development), specifically a Web Developer, from 2014/08/10 to present.

XXX has been employed by XXX as a full-time web developer since 2014/08/10 and is currently working as a web developer for our company. He/She worked at least 40 hours per week with monthly salary of XXX from 2014/08/10 to 2015/03/31, which amounted to an annual salary of XXX. On 2015/04/01, he/she received a salary increase of 9%, his/her monthly salary now is XXX, this amounts to an annual salary of XXX. He/She continues to work at least 40 hours per week as a web developer.

As a Software Engineer (web developer), his/her duties are:

[job duties here]

His/Her Benefits as a full-time employee at company XXX including but not limited to:

[company benefits here]

ALWAYS stick to the truth! ;) If you started the job in 2013/05, that's the date you use (I.e. The date you actually started working, not the date you signed the contract)

That looks like it covers the requirements, make sure the duties correspond to NOC code

In EE profile, there is one paragraph in occupation section:

'This means the job <$ClientName/$> has experience in and wants to base the immigration application on. This is how CIC will determine your eligibility for federal programs. **You will need to know the job title and the NOC for the primary occupation and for any other jobs you add, as well as for any job offer.**'

Why do they say you need to know any other jobs I add? If I am not claiming points, then I guess it is not within the spectrum of 'any other jobs you add'?

That is referring to people with experience under multiple NOCs who may add those jobs as well in their application and those jobs will not have the same NOC as their primary occupation.

Ahh, okay, I was a bit too anxious cos I don't have that much work experience by far, thanks @asivad. I just removed the 9 months job history from the work history section, and added it to personal history section.

i have a question.
yesterday i have received ITA. i have completed my application form. i am doing government job in a hospital. Application form is also asking for details of any government job or military job. Should i mention ths experience or get some other clinic experience.
