Work Experience out of Canada

Hello

I got an ITA for my PR.

When I filled up my application for the invitation, under work history, I only included my work history in Canada since I thought that would be the only thing that would give me extra points.

Now that I got my ITA and I’m filling up my work and personal activities history I was going to include my work history prior to coming to Canada. That would be 3 years doing freelance in Spain.

I’m just worried about two things:

1. Is it gonna be a problem if I didn’t mention it when I applied for the ITA and I mentioning it now?

2. I barely have any records of my freelance work, even though it was for a long time it was pretty on and off. Am I gonna have to show proof or anything of this work? I don’t think it would give me any extra points, since I’ll be getting those from my work experience in Canada.

Thanks!

Mention your other work experience only under Personal History section. In this case, you will not be required to provide any reference letters. For the Work History section, mention only work experience that you are claiming points for, which is your Canadian experience in this case. In other words, don't mention your freelancing job in Work History section and only add it to the Personal History section. Good Luck!
