Work experience in different fields(different NOC)

Hi, I tried to find a relevant thread for my query but I failed. I need some urgent guidance. Any help would be much appreciated!


1. I am a graduate in commerce (3 years degree) from University of Delhi, India. Post which I have worked with KPMG for 29 months as a "Senior Audit Associate". I am not able to find a relevant NOC for this job profile as under "FINANCIAL AUDITORS AND ACCOUNTANTS" the employment requirements states that you need to be a professional accountant.

Please Note: I'm not a professional CA.

2. I did my PGDM- Marketing (diploma of two years) from MICA, Ahmedabad. Its a AICTE approved college in India and then worked for an organization in Nigeria, Africa for 9 months as a marketing manager(NOC 0124). Due to some family emergency I had to quit my job and return to India.


Now, the total work experience I have is of 38 months.

29 months as an graduate and 9 months as a post graduate.

Problem statement:

1. Would my work experience count? If yes, how much and, what if I want to work in the field of marketing primarily?

2. Am I eligible to apply under FSW-EP. Also, what should be my NOC for my first job.

Really need guidance on this. Help much appreciated.

My understanding is if you are applying under EE pool. NOC job duties matter, you don't have to fulfill educational requirement.

To find appropriate NOC, you would need to do some research on ircc website and find a NOC most relevant to duties performed by you.

Would it make a difference that I have just 9 months of experience after my diploma in marketing and I want to work in this field only later in Canada?
