Hi,
My Student visa and work permit expired on March 30, 2015. Meanwhile I had already applied for my PGWP on March 5th 2015.
I started working full time with my organization from March 10th 2015.
I received my PGWP later in May 2015.

When will I have 1 year work experience to be eligible for CEC ? Is it March 10th,2016 when I started working full time or May,2016 when I received my PGWP ?

Thank you

Experience after you finished your studies counts - if it's after graduation but before you got PGWP it's best to include proof of the date you graduated on.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. The only proof I have is the final transcript from my university. Will it be enough.
will then the one month of April still be counted as my legal work experience although I had no status then.
My Student Visa expired March 30 and My PGWP arrived in May.

Regards

Hello,

I do have the same issue. Working from March 2015 but got PGWP in May 2015. 3 months gap is there. I graduated in Jan 2015 though. I think to apply under CEC, we need to include a letter of explanation like we already graduated, transcript, diploma/certificate/degree, results etc. I am seeking lawyer's advice on that. Please let me know if you come across some valuable advice.

Thanks

Your work experience will be counted from the day you started working even though you were on study permit. See the link below:
