Please guide
I am asking for a friend who is about to submit his PR documents. Apparently, his agent didn't update the foreign work experience end date while filing his study permit application back in 2022. He was supposed to come for January 2023 intake, so agent mentioned his current job from November 2019 to October 2022 since that's when the agent filled the IMM study visa form. The work experience letter attached at that time does says that the person is still working in that firm and hasn’t left yet. Agent, submit all the documents to IRCC and he got his study visa the very next month in November 2022. Then, he got an email from the university that the January intake is full, so the agent suggested to deferral to May intake but didn't change the current work experience dates since he already had the study visa in hand. He worked at the same company till February 2023. He didn't know this mistake before, since agent never asked to update any forms or dates. But now he is claiming points for this 3 years foreign work experience from that same company. He has all the documents to prove that he worked from Dec 2019 to Feb 2023 now. On his PGWP application, he mentioned the right dates as per his experience letter and was approved for that.
My question is would there be any issue if he mentions this mismatch of dates in the Letter of explanation? Please help as he is really stressing big time.
