Hello,
I have a few questions regarding my work experience, and money transfer.
I have been a full-time teacher for 8 years (this current school year is my 8th year). In my country (Morocco), a full-time teacher works 24 hours/week (maximum number of hours), but I saw that in Canada you need to work for 30 hours/week to be considered a full-time worker. Does this mean that CIC will consider me a part-time worker even though I'm a full-time teacher in my country?
If so, how can I calculate the number of hours worked? I read somewhere that vacation time should be regarded as work-time because it's paid. Is it true?
Here's my thinking, and please correct me if I'm wrong.
By the end of this school year I will have worked for 8 years. That is a total of 416 weeks. So, 416x24 hours per week= 9984 work hours.
9984/1560 hours (the required number of hours/year)=6.4 years of full-time employment.
Thank you very much.
