Hi
I completed my studies in Canada on 30th April 2018 and I was also working Part Time during my studies.
I acquired my PGWP in June 2019 through Border/Port of Entry. So the time from Apr 2018 - June 2018 i was working full time on study permit since i was not attending any school.

Now I am calculating my points for Express Entry (FSW/CEC) and its been exact 1 year (Apr 2018 - Apr 2019) since I am working full time in my company so I assume it'll count as one-year work experience, however some people are saying that my work experience will be counted from the date my PGWP was issued.

Is it true or do I have to wait till June to get points for my Canadian work experience?
My university issued me a letter of degree completion in May 2018.

You advise would be highly appreciated.

You should wait until June 2019, your work experience from April 2008 to June 2008 was illegal.

Get your facts straight, it is not at all illegal as there is a 90 days status conversion period on which your previous status is implied on you (specifically to gather documents to apply for new status or prepare your case for the same).

you can work full time while waiting for PGWP, but you cannot use this time period for the work experiences. Because your status is still student :D. You can use work experience only after approval of your work permit, starting from this date :D.

Its simple.
