Work Experiance - Plz Help

Hi All,

I sent my initial application in March 2010. I had start working as a Trainee accountant in march 2007 then promoted to assistant financial controller and finaly promoted to financial controller in the same company. My question is i have put my experiance as a financial controller from March 2007 - to date. Is this correct or i should have stated my promotions.

My case is also same. I started job as Trainee Software engineer and now working as Sr. Soft Engineer in the same company. I will only submit ref letter with my current job title and duties. But it's about 1 year and 1 month I had promoted as Sr. soft Engg.

Ok thank you..:) When did you submit your initial application?. I am currenlty residing in ireland and will submit my documents to london office once i receive further correspondence from CIC. I am from pakistan and it seems you are from pakistan too..

The requirement from CHC is to share all your designations, duties in all positions
So please mention the promotions and duties in each position you have held with the organization

Hi ankit_20,

I have already submitted my application without mentioning my promotions and i have put my experiance as a financial controller from March 2007 - to date. do you think this will be a problem? please advise

It should not be a problem at CIO stage in my opinion

But at CHC they may call employer to verify all the details that you submit, so I recommend making these chnages before you submit to CHC

Hi Ankit_20,
Could you please advise if i am ok to make changes to work experiance on the application that I have already submitted to CIO and I believe I need to submit a copy of the initial application when submitting full documents to CHC office. If I make any changes i.e specify promotions would that be a problem please advise.

Dear Khan

You will be claiming to CHC that you are financial controller since 2007, what if they call your employer and discover this is not true.

If you feel that company can give you a reference letter from 2007 saying you are financial controller and will verify the same then its ok else you may want to consider making changes to the application.

I will say lets wait for others to comment

Thanks for your reply...I am happy to make changes as my previous work experience since march 2007 i.e trainee accountant , assistant financial controller is in the 38 occupations list but my question is will it be appropriate to make changes after CIO send me AOR. If I am sending full documents to CHC and consider these changes will it make my life harder?? Seniors please advise

I had the similar situation
my first job responsibility does not match with the NOC code duties
but I filled the form in the section 11 Personal history (schedule 1)
with the job designation (activity column).
But did not declared as work experience (in schedule 3)
My 2nd job match with the NOC and include 38 job lists. therefore I included only the 2nd job as work experience.
Did I mistake, please help
