I am a Canadian Citizen my wife if on work permit and applied as skilled worker 3 years ago, we got married two years ago and she updated her married status on CIC. After a lengthy delay she got letter from CIC to send passport for immigrant visa. The catch is that they are saying if you have given birth to a child then you need to notify them and it will take reprocessing. My daughter is Canadian citizen and she is more than 1 year old. To make it worse we are expecting second child. Looks like this whole system punishes people in my situation. I wonder if my wife have to notify them about the birth of daughter within Canada when she does not need immigration.
You must advise this office in writing of any change in your civil status or family composition
(i.e. marriage, divorce, birth of new child, etc) and mailing address.

they can continue this cycle as long as our family is not complete. This is completely ridiculous and crazy. Any suggestions????
