Withdrawing spousal sponsorship

Hello everyone...I am going to withdraw sponsoring my husband due to irreconcilable differences. We sent in our application in March and have not heard anything from Sydney. What are some of the implications of withdrawing for future sponsorships? In the webform, am I the applicant or is my husband the applicant?

Who already holds the Canadian citizenship/permanent residence status? That person is the sponsor. The other is the applicant.

Not sure about implications on future sponsorships; hopefully others can give insight into this. I imagine IRCC would value the honesty in withdrawing an application when there is a relationship breakdown instead of continuing it just so the applicant can gain PR.
