Withdrawing FSW application after submitting CEC

I have an FSW2 application in process since October 2010. I applied again but this time under CEC in August 2012. My FSW application was being processed at the Buffalo office and was later transferred to CPP-O . I emailed CPP-O requesting the withdrawal of my FSW application about a month ago but received no acknowledgement or response. I plan to fax the request again next week. Has anyone been in a similar situation before?

Why withdraw the FSW application now? You can wait until you receive the passport request for one of the applications, then withdraw the other one. Note that you probably won't receive a refund of application fees for the withsdrawn application if processing had begun.

Well, my post graduate work permit is no longer valid. I am now on a study permit so that makes my FSW2 application void anyway.

Hello Mehak,

Did you apply FSW application under arrange employment - if yes then you have to have valid WP at that point of time.

Yes, I did. You also have to have a valid Work Permit at the time they make a decision on your application. No WP then you can't work then the basis upon which you applied are no longer valid.

Thats Correct ! You should try to Withdraw your FSW application ...and get your money back ...
