Withdrawal of Application

Dear All

I have applied for PR in FSW 1 category in Sept 2008 and received my AOR in oct 2008 . My NOC code was 0611. But after publication of job list I found my job code not falling under 38 list .Therfater I have been waiting for my refusal & refund . But till now I haven't received any update from CIC but my application status on Ecas is "Appication Received" . I knew it well that my application is going to be refused but I am desperetely waiting for my refund to apply for some other country.

Now my question is that can I witdraw my application without waiting anymore . If yes what is the procedure for withdrawal of application & in how much time span can I receive my money refunded.

Please guide me to enable take up further move .

Dear manvi
You can withdraw application stating to NS office by a letter. They probably let you know the decision within 6-8 weeks. I do not know how long they will take to refund your fees. I guess it will take much time, even 6 months or more.

You know that my case is similar to you. I want to wait more to see whether NS office show any special consideration regarding Feb-Nov 08 applicants. If they don't my appliaction will automatically be refused and I will get the fees back.

In my opinion, if I request them to withdraw my application they will do it at once and I may get the refund by waiting about 6 months or more. On the other hand, if NS office refused me on NOC ground they will refund me the fees, which also take much time. Here the question is only about the fees refund. Another point you may think that, if CIC put special consideration on particular applications (feb-nov 08), that may be positive for me. Actually nothing to lose if I wait for another 6-12 months, except the dealys of fees back.

If you decide to apply any other country, do not wait for the decision or the fees. Apply immediately, althgough you have to arrange fees for that. Or if you think you will apply after getting back the fees from NS, you will waste your time.
