Hi,

I claimed for refugee giving the situation in my country, however I've been in Canada for 2 years as an International Student and now giving the situation in my country is becoming very hard for my family to support my education and I may have to return to my country. Currently I finished my first year of my studies and in Fall (September) I'll be starting my second year of the program. I have a study permit valid until 2016. But now I'm scared of being deported not having the opportunity to finish my career. I was thinking to withdraw my application but I don't want to have a negative status in Canada that could affect my postgraduate work permit for internships. My hearing is in May 30th but I'm think to withdraw it. If I do this can I return to my Student status and have the chance in the future to apply for a permit residence?

Thanks for any help.

I don't think this is true. A lawyer told me if one draw his refugee claim, the deportation letter that singed during submission of the claim becomes enforce. The applicant should leave the country. If the applicant want to come back, he/she should apply for visa and there is high risk of begging denied.

On humanitarian basis, the applicant may apply to stay and complete his/her education. Also, it is hard to get approved but possible.

the case involve many issues and it needs a lawyer before withdraw.

.. 2 my co worker at factory....came back their refugee case denied...then they left canada... ...then They follow the procedure through lawyer came back no problem...as long as u have no criminal record...they said u can come back....

Depends which category u applying. To.come...back off course not refugee...

To with draw a refugee case is not a criminal act...circumstances change with the time...

Suppose ur enemy in ur country died. Or threat diminish......then u want to go back to ur country circumstances change....

When u apply again visa to canada..and u tell truth to visa officer...they appreciate honesty...they r not bad...they r also human...
