Hello

should I withdraw my application?

I sent my eApr last week. Now I realize maybe I spent more than 6 months in USA, but I did not get FBI PCC. I don't have travel records anymore, so no way to tell.

I travelled to USA a lot but never longer than a few days or weeks. This was a long time ago, so not included in travel history.

Should I withdraw application and apply again with FBI PCC just to be careful? Could they consider this misrepresentation? If they reject because of missing PCC will I get my fee back? I know you get money back if application is incomplete, but I read that missing PCC can also reject applicaiton.

:(

Raise CSE (case specific enquiry or contact them on this email
cpc-ctd-ottawa@cic.gc.ca
with Urgent in subject stating xyz, be honest with them, I have seen exactly the same case, some guy missed PCC, he contacted them and send it within xyz timeframe and they considered and his application was approved too

Thank you so much for your encouraging answer!

The thing is that I probably did not stay in USA for 6 months. I can remember at least 4 months in total. But I could be wrong and its 6. I think they will check this anyway because I think they have access to USA travel history, and then just cancel my application if I am over?

I don't want to delay my application unnecessary if PCC is really not needed. But I dont want misrepresentation either.

Didn't you fill your travel history?

If it was after 18, you should have included a PCC although you don't mention those trips in travel history. If you have good cutoff, better to withdraw and submit another one. They will get to know about US trips very easily.

CSE is another option too, but FBI PCC won't be quickly available, I am not sure how you would go explaining this submitting proof of submission and all that using that.

I don't think it would go as a misrepresentation, probably cancellation due to PCC but it would take a lot of time as your US visits would be only known during background checks. It would be easily two to three months from now. Who knows where cutoffs would be by then?

Travel was 15 to 20 years ago.

I never even considered USA trips because they were so short. But after submission I counted the ones I can remember and it got closer and closer to 6 months. Now i am worried.

Score is 431. Withdraw is risky with that score. CSE is good option, but it takes four months to get USA PCC and CIC will probably cancel for incomplete. Or will they wait that long?

I had hope that they check all travel history (not just what I entered) and that incomplete is quick if I stayed for more than 6 months. But you could be right that I might have to wait for background checks...

Option 1 "Withdraw and apply again"
Risk of not getting ITA
Maybe not necessary if I didnt stay 6 months

Option 2 "CSE and apply for PCC now"
Risk of incomplete application then risk of not getting ITA
Maybe not necessary if I didnt stay 6 months

Option 3 "Do nothing, wait for background check to reveal"
Risk of long wait for an answer (constant worrying)
Maybe it will all be fine if I didnt stay 6 months

Roll a dice?

You can always create new profile and get new ITA while the other is in process

If you raise a CSE with proof of submission of FBI PCC (courier tracking receipt with tracking number) and correct explanation of your unsure situation, you should be good.

I have never raised CSE, and I am not sure if it gives enough scope to do those things. Probably you need to create a single document which contains an explanation of your case.. like you traveled 15 to 20 years back to US, and not sure of total stay, realized it after submitting and so you have applied FBI PCC, and scan the receipt copy below. See if you could make sure all of this happens (including the receipt) to be in single page so that they don't miss the receipt. If you think you could add any other proofs for submission, you could add them in subsequent pages.

If you are able to get this reached before they find out the travels by themselves, I hope you should be good! Receipt is very important. Without that they won't consider your request.

Great idea! I didnt know that was possible. I will do that right away. Thank you for helping!

I think you are right. Telling them I am not sure if I stayed for 6 months AND showing proof of application for USA PCC is the safest way I think. Thank you so much helping. I will post again about CIC response.
