With Child starting JK in September 2015, letter of enrollment required?

Hi,

I am applying citizenship this April 2015 and my son is starting JK in September. Do I need to submit a letter of enrollment from his school when technically he still hasn't started school yet when I will submit my application (April 2015).

Anyone with the same situation?

I believe the proof of enrollment/attendance in school is to secure the fact that the child/minor is physically in Canada for the aforementioned dates. I do not think future terms are not included, it is the past (1095 days of past physical presence) is required.

Anything can happen in the future, the past cannot be changed.

You can apply this April with child as still below school age. No need to ask proof from school as the child hasn't been enrolled yet.

JK enrollment starts in January 2015 for those starting school in September. He is enrolled but technically he is still 3 years old(below the school age of 4).

Thank you for replying. I just wanted to know if not declaring the school he is enrolled to,won't return my application for incomplete document.

i just submit my application and my son will start his school in september i did not submit the school report because he is not going to school yet. how can you submit his school report when the school report dosnt even exit lol

Thank you for the reply. That is exactly my concern. However, the requirement states that if the school report is not available, present a letter of enrollment/registration from the school. Probably it is only applicable to those who have kids who already started school, without available school reports.
