My father-in-law applied thru paper application that was mailed to Canadian consulate in Istanbul. For some reason it ended-up at VSF Global office. Its OK. i have no issues with that.
CDN visa fee have been paid online. After that we received a call from VSF and they said that online payment is not acceptable form of payment.
A part of the email was saying: *There is no VFS service fee which is 55.25 Turkish Lira ( must be paid to Garanti bank )". OK. now Im confused is there a fee or not. Their website has their account info. Also it says that CIC fees can be paid by depositing fees into Canadian Embassy Garanti Bank account. I made a wire transfer to Embassy's account on Sunday (with note including my father-in-law's name). Another wire went to VFS Global account, as per their account info.
Now they are saying that wires are not acceptable which doesn't make any sense. They say that with paper application mailed to them (needless to say that we mailed the application to CDN consulate and not to VFS) we must make a payment in Turkey at the bank. How can he make a payment in Turkey if he is not in this country. Plus VFS received fees into their account anyways.
Did someone have such an experience? What are the chances that the Embassy won't accept the wire payment?
