hi guys, i new to this forum, and i am soo thankful that this site exist, this helps a lot!
i have some query for you guys, hope you could help me. my wife and i, applied for immigration under skilled worker category.
we have completed our medical and was submitted to Manila, Philippines last August 9, 2010. My wife has history of TB way back 2006, she undergone treatment for 6 months and was successfully healed. since then, every time she undergo company medical examinations including x-ray, the result was "negative", radiologist don't even see any "scar" in her film, also, our pulmonary doctor told us that there was really negligible scar in the x-ray, it can't be noticed if the one who reads it don't have the idea that she had it (TB) previously. For our peace of mind, last February 2010, she undergo x-ray examination using the "digital x-ray", our doctor suggested using this type of x-ray since it is more accurate than the conventional one. the result for this type of x-ray is still "negative".
after our medical exam last august for, we asked our immigration doctor how was the reading of her x-ray, the doctor told us it was negative, the radiologist haven't found any signs of scar or previous scar due to TB. my question was, will the embassy require us to have additional test such as culture/sputom to prove that she's out of TB? even though the result submitted shows that is was negative, since we have declared it in our medical form? has anyone here experienced the same?
by the way, my wife is the main applicant.
hope you could enlightened us guys, we are a bit worried
