I am 32 and about to graduate with a master's degree in Ontario. I am aware that every year, the masters stream for OINP (which does not require a job offer) closes late in the year, when they reach their quota. However, considering that they closed it in May 2016 due to excess applications (which is earlier than usual), are there reasonable chances of it re-opening in 2017? or are there rumors that they will not reopen for a few years? Because I am losing points in age, that is my only realistic chance of getting nomination. One of the immigration lawyers I consulted said that they may not discontinue that stream, coz Masters and PhD graduates are the brains of the country and sought after. However, is there any contradicting rumor?
