Will they close border again due to Omicron?

Just to give people some background, I was living in Canada on work permit, then came back to Bangladesh due to a family emergency. I wanted to go back to Canada so applied for TRV and got it a while back. Both my TRV and Work Permit are valid until 2024 March (long term). So I thought of going to Canada around Jan or Feb next year.

Question is, is there any chance of a border closure due to this new Omicron virus? Any news whether Canada will close border to Bangladesh?

Last time when they closed border, how long was that for? It was closed until sept 7, but when did they start?

I would doubt any border closing due to public pressure but we can never be sure.

Some flights were banned, but the border was never closed. People can still take international flights to come and leave Canada for non-essential purpose.
