hey guys

I just sent my medicals to London a week back. Just wanted to know that after doing the medicals do they usually ask proof of funds again?

I am concerned because I have not maintained the required funds in my bank account but have more than the required amount in other saving schemes like national bonds and so on.

What should I do withdraw my money from bonds n maintain in my account??

Kindly advise

updated POF can be even asked by the VO even after the medicals, it is not usual but can be asked.

so what do you reckon??

National bonds won't do?? You think I should withdraw the money and maintain in my account??

Don't do anything unless you are asked by the VO.

Hi...I'm from Manila...in my case yes, after our medical reports forwarded to Canadian Embassy, Manila they requested me to submit an updated Personal Networth Statement with attached updated bank certificates and passbook. Not sure with other visa offices but they verified my funds just last week.

agreed...you must show fund at the time of landing...till i don't think they will ask you.... even in my case they did't ask for it...

ok.. so I am getting mixed opinions ???

I think better to maintain my account as well to be on the safe side. In case they do ask , do people usually send bank statements or a bank certificate will do??

In all cases, you need to show those funds upon landing, I say liquidate some of your bonds to keep the minimum balance required, you have to do it sooner or later

YOU ALWAYS MAINTAIN YOUR ACCOUNT...TILL GOT THE MAPLE LEAF IN YOUR PASSPORT.....BEST OF LUCK

they are specifically asking for a bank statement showing transactions from 6 months; a letter from the bank is not acceptable evidence

Thanks guys

I am gonna break some bonds and maintain my account , i would be needing them anyways later.

Cheers!!!
