Currently sitting at 379 crs points because i don't have a lot of work experiences here even though i lived in canada for more than 17 years. I saw the news about international students getting some extra points for going to school here. i wonder when they gonna actually apply this new rule to current immigration system. Anyone else waiting for this?? And have anyone apply for lmia as bar manager/restaurant manager recently in toronto area?

17 months you meant? If you are not working in a job belongs to NOC 0, A or B, then even with extra points for Canadian degrees, you still don't have a good chance to compete with other candidates. Best route now is to find a small company which is willing to sponsor you for LMIA, since it's very easy to obtain one if you work as cook/food supervisor.
