Will the current u.s canada political relations hurt Americans who are applying for permanent residency?

I plan to sponsor my american spouse for permanent residency she is against the ignorance of the u.s government and I Want her to be here with me but I'm wondering will the canadian government see that she's american and automatically reject her application?

Canada still has logic and respect for rights. If anything the US citizen may get a hard time when crossing the border from the Americans for moving to Canada not the other way around.
