Will sponsor's pardoned sexual offence be problematic?

Scenario:

Sponsor wants to bring his common-law partner from Philippines to Canada.

Sponsor was charged with a sexual offence (possession of child p.) in 2001. Convicted in 2003. Completed sentence in 2005. Received a pardon in 2021.

Will this affect sponsorship application in a negative way?

Also, will the fact that the sponsor was once convicted, be disclosed or known somehow to the Philippines (or any other country including U.S.) due to this sponsorship application process?
