Hello all, I've recently received notice from CIC that my sponsorship application + OWP is received and that it is "in process"! This in itself is great news but I have one concern which id like your opinions on.

I'm planning on quitting my current part time job so that I have more time for my studies, however i'm worried that this may somehow jeopardize my sponsorship application which is now in process according to CIC. Is there any specific way for me to go about this scenario without somehow risking my application status?

I imagine I should go the route of sending a written letter to CIC explaining that me and my spouses parents will be supporting us. Is this correct? Any advice on what I should do from here would be very greatly appreciated.

Once you submit your application, any changes to your job situation after that is irrelevant. So go ahead and quit your job if you want, and you don't need to inform CIC.

Thank you very much. Though, pardon my asking, are you sure of this? Forgive me for being a bit on edge :-[

After you get Sponsorship Approval, the sponsor's job status no longer matters. If you're in progress now, you've definitely had SA so you don't need to worry.
