Will paid medical internship counts as work experience if done outside of Ca?

Dear all,

I would really appreciate your help if you can answer this question and provide a reference from CIC website (for my OCD). In my back home country, my internship is done in the 7th year. It is compulsory but it starts after my graduation and receiving my MBBS.

Side info, for the new system, if your education in Canada was sponsored by your home country, you won't get point for it but it is not a reason for rejection.

Yes, it counts towards foreign work experience.
