My mother and I were convention refugees when I was still her dependant. I got married and have two Canadian kids. Recently my mother has gone back to our native country to care for her dying parents. I'm really afraid in how this will affect me. I'm a PR applying for citizenship. I have started a family. What can I do?

You are a PR in your own right.. It will not affect you under these circumstances.
I think there are a few cases where the parents failing to meet their PR obligations can affect dependants (Entrepreneurs?) but I don't think that you are affected.
