I have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science and I would want to pursue a master's in "Management in Information Technology".

I don't really understand how are the degrees evaluated by WES. Unfortunately, I can't find any degree in Canada named "Management in Information Technology", so do you think that this would be a problem in the sense that my degree would not be evaluated as an equivalent to a Canadian degree?

What are the factors that are taken into account during the evaluation?

Go to the website of WES and search if they recognize this degree from the University where you plan to pursue it.

I know IQAS and they have a list of universities that they recognize on those website.

I have already tried here: https://applications.wes.org/ca/degree-equivalency-tool. I think that the feature is pretty broken for my country. The thing is that instead of a list of actual degrees in the Name of Degree/Diploma drop-down list, it shows me something like: Master's degree, Bachelor's degree, PhD but not the actual specializations. So if I select Master's degree of course it will work out... But I don't think that it is a reliable result.

Thanks for the links. Unfortunately, those only show the documents required for evaluation (which you received from any university). I want to know what are the actual criteria that are used in the evaluation process. Do they actually look for a similar degree in Canada? Do they look at the courses? Do they look at the duration? What exactly are they looking for?

The course of study really doesn't seem to matter. It seems they're looking more at verifying that you have an actual degree from a reputable university. In other words, if your university is not accredited or is known as a "buy your degree" type school, they may question it. The ECA will tell you if your bachelors or masters is equal to a Canadian bachelors or masters degree. It will not say if it is equivalent to a "Canadian Bachelors in (subject)."
