Will issues with sponsored tourist visa affect citizenship application?

Hello,

We are on PR. We are applying a sponsored tourist visa for our relative. If that relative encountered an issue for example overstayed or worked without permit and finally deported back --- will this affect our chances of getting a citizenship? Will that problem also put our PR in jeopardy?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

Your relative's circumstances is totally irrelevant and has no affect on your citizenship application or process or PR status.

No, but any future letters of support or invitation may be disregarded by CIC/Visa Office. (Sorta like blacklist)
Make sure the relative goes back after their visit and does not overstay their visa no matter what.

Doesn't affect citizenship application. Personally however, I wouldn't invite a relative who may try to overstay or work without authorization
