hi professional, u r giving very valuable suggestins.
I have some questions. I sent my 1st application to CIO in Nov. 2009 and was received there on 17th Nov.09.
1- How will I get inform whether my case accepted or refused? by e.mail or by post?
2- What is mean by A.O.R?
3- If it is accepted will they give some file number?
4- Now I think holidays have been started, will they reply in Jan 2010?
1- If you have provided your email address in the application form, they will send you the the assessment letter via email. if not, they will send it by mail.
2- "AOR" stands for (Acknowledgment of receipt letter), to inform you that your application has been received at the local visa office (you do not get that letter from the CIO), you get assessment letter from the CIO (approval or rejection), they do not send AOR at the CIO.
3- They wil give you a file number if they approve your application, but if they return the entire package back for incompleteness or filling msitakes, they will not give you any file number.
4- They take between 2 to 3 months (from the date of receipt) to respond.
