First, thanks in advance for any helps and answers for my case.

I am in the process to sponsor my parents immigrant to Canada, and already received request for Medical Exam and IMM 5562. Everything went smooth except I just found out my mom overstayed in canada for about 1.5 months in the past (too busy to remember the visa extension), and she has visited me in canada twice after the overstay and are currently in Canada on a valid super visa with 2 years on it. Now, I have to record all her travel history in IMM5562, Just wondering will the 1.5 months overstay affect her immigration?

thanks again for your help.

It won't impact anything provided she is 100% honest in the application about her history.

Hi Scylla,
thanks for your reply..

When my mom enter in Canada, 2014 feb, boarder officer write a date july 2014 below the stamp, but I did not realize since I thought she should have 2 years for her super visa..
Until when she leave Canada on Sept 2014, we realized her visa has time limit until Jul 2014 .

So you mean I still need to list the time my mom stay in Canada from Feb 2014 to Sept 2014 in imm 5662, even she overstay for about 1.5 month??

Now cic does not find out her overstay yet, since my mom re-entered in Canada twice after the overstay.. if I write list the date in Canada on imm5562 this time, then cic might find out my mom overstay, and reject her immigration???

Thanks so much for your help

As scylla very clearly said, as long as it is declared, it won't affect the PR app.

If she lies about the overstay, she is committing immigration fraud and can expect her app to be refused and to be hit with a 5 year ban for misrepresentation.

Not a hard decision.
