Hi,

I'm currently a student in Toronto and have been invited to apply for my express entry today. My course finishes this April, and I'll be on my post graduate work permit starting May.

I work part-time as an Administrative Assistant now, for 20 hours a week. I've been working there since 3 months now.

My question- will a letter from my current part-time employer offering me full-time employment after the completion of my course be acceptable as a proof of funds for immigration?

Please note that my previous full-time employment, on the basis of which I applied for my express entry isn't the same as the job I hold now. However it's still under a different NOC category.
Previous NOC- 1123
Current and possible future NOC- 1241

Any suggestions will be much appreciated!

(a) do not confuse a job offer with proof of funds, they are different. However, it is true that if you have a valid job offer, the proof of funds requirement is waived.

(b) No, your job offer does not meet the definition of "valid job offer," so the proof of funds requirement will not be waived. Your employer would need to get an LMIA for the job offer to be "valid."
