Will CIC check my employee status with CRA?

Hi guys, I submitted my family sponsorship application for my wife and daughter in August, and I decided to leave the company since I accepted another job offer. Will CIC check my employee status with CRA?And will that effect my application?

As there is a dependent child you will need to prove you meet minimum income requirements. They ask for financial information from 12 months prior to the application (including Option C printout from CRA) and that you are not receiving welfare. If you are in Ontario ROE (records of employment) can be accessed online from Service Ontario and you can ask for a formal letter of employment from the new employer.

No, they will not check your employment status with CRA.

Totally right.... they will require income information from you, but they will not check with CRA,

and absolutely no, you don't need a minimum income to sponsor a spouse or and dependent child....

And everybody has the right to look for new and better opportunities, and you don't need to worry about
changing job.

If you needed to change address then that you will need to inform to Immigration.

how does cic found out if you are welfare or not
and if one has taken welfare in the past and stopped before the sponsorship application. does this still count

You are required to submit an option c and on that information it will show that you collected welfare if it was in that tax year.
