Will Canada accept Fix deposits or savings certificates as a Proof of funds???

Hello friends,
I am from Pakistan.

I just want to make sure that Is it good to Show fix deposit certificates (SSC/DSC) of my parents and my joint certificates with them as a source of funds?
My father is not able to show the running finance Do I have to show a running finance as well?
