My FSW within 38 application was received by Nova Scotia in March 2009. (I filed it in New Delhi in March 2008 and application was transfered to Nova Scotia after the release of 38 list). It will be close to 1 year that I haven't received an initial eligibility review status! My e-case status just says application received (Stage 1). During this time, I also submitted an HRDC approved AEO to CIC Nova Scotia. I have sent enquiry letters to CHC New Delhi and CIC Nova Scotia but no reply.

Will ordering CAIPS right now help? Will the computerised information file enclose any details?
I read somewhere that if initial eligibility status has not been established, CAIPS may not enclose any information that can help.
I was hoping that ordering CAIPS could throw some light on the status of my application.....

I would have thought that you should have had a decision long ago. I would be that you either been sent either an email or letter on you application which you haven't received. So if you have sent a case specific email to ND and haven't got a reply, you better order CAIPS.

Yes PMM. I assumed the same. Although my FSW application was quite tight and clear - even if that posed as a problem anywhere, atleast sending the HRDC-approved AEO should have called for some action on my application! There is no email and no response on my query from Nova Scotia and New Delhi has no information. CAIPS is the only logical step forward.
