I have 3 yrs of experience in NOC 0911 and I wish to apply in that category. But at the moment I am unemployed and there is a big career gap.
My employment history below
-----------------
2004 June: Graduated- Bachelors degree in Engineering
2004 Jul-2007 Jul: Worked as Engineer (3 yrs experience matching NOC 0911)
2007 Aug-2010 May: Student-Graduated- Masters degree in Engineering
2010 April- Present(July2014): Worked at 3 different companies, for total 9 months, with long gaps in between.
-----------------
Will this big career gap during the last 4 years affect my PR application? Or will they only check whether I meet 67 points? Will the experience (from 2004-2007)being quite old, make a negative impact?
If the career gap does affect the application, how can I cover that up? I mean, if I join a company now, and show in my application that I am currently working, will that help to reduce the gap-impact?
If I produce documentation about volunteer-job (to fill the gaps) will that help?
PS: You ll ask me what I did in the 4 yrs. To be honest, I graduated in 2010 during recession. I am still in jobsearch.
