This is Nair writing from Sultanate of Oman to get clarity on a few things.

I am 30 years and three months old, currently working Muscat, the capital city of Oman. I am having a plan to migrate to Canada with my family but there are a few problems.

My wife is doing PG in Prosthodontics, she will complete her course by 2021. If I wait till that, I won't get a good score due to age. Is it okay, if I keep my name as primary applicant and mark the option of 'not taking the spouse along' ? If I do so, after her course completion will she be eligible to create a separate profile and follow the same express entry procedure to reach Canada?

Friends advised me to sponsor her after I have PR but the online discussions say that it is difficult to complete the sponsorship and if something goes wrong it may invite a ban on her. What do you suggest? Which way should I proceed???

Yes, you can list your spouse as non-accompanying.

You must be reading the wrong online discussions. Sponsorship is relatively straightforward and will not "invite a ban".
