Hello Faraz,

I don't know if the process differs that much for Pakistan other than the fact that it's not a visa-exempt country, so don't take this as "official" advice, but I'm fairly confident in what I'll tell you below...

The first step of the whole application process is, yes, the CIC verifies your eligibility to sponsor her. You send both packages together, hers, and yours, to Mississauga. They go through yours, and if you are eligible, they send hers along to the appropriate Visa Office. I assume this will be Islamabad?

2 Do I have to do the medical for my other family members who are residing in Pakistan.
You shouldn't require additional medicals from your family. As for your wife, they would need medicals of her, and any dependents she has (i.e. if you have children).

3 when my wife will appy for her PR card.
After she lands, so at the end of this whole process :) Technically she doesn't have to apply for it -- the Immigration Officer at the Point of landing will forward the form to the CIC on her behalf.

You will need a marriage certificate of some sort, for starters. Any other proof you can provide, such as photos of the ceremony, and details of gifts that may have been exchanged between families, may help as well. I am not from your part of the world so unfortunately I am not so familiar with the traditions there, but I can assure you that I do not believe arranged marriages are a problem for the CIC, as long as you can prove the marriage is still genuine.

Arranged marriages in a culture where such marriages are common are not a problem. For proof, you have to explain and show evidence of how the marriage was arranged. So you could include a description of who introduced you, where the introduction took place, what special arrangements were made (whatever is typical in your culture9, etc. Then describe the marriage ceremonies. To be safe, you should do everything that is typical of an arranged marriage in your culture. If you do not, the visa officer will want to know why. So have lots of guests and a big ceremony (if that is typical in your culture and family) and get lots of photos.
