Hello Everyone;

This is my first message to this forum website.

I have 2 questions in one. But i want to explain the situation first.

We are family of 3 (me, wife, and son). I sponsored more 3 family member, (father, mother and sister (now above 25). They are now landed immigrant and living in canada.

My wife was NOT my co-signer (cosigner) when i sponsored my parents and sister.

My wife is working. Now she wants to sponsor her 3 family member, (mother, and 2 brothers, under 21). Her father don't want to come to Canada, and she is not sponsoring him.

Question1: Can my wife sponsor her family members, (mother and two brothers) without my co-signing if she meet the requirement of her income.

Question2: Can I take our son under my guardianship (tax related issue) to reduce the numbers of family members for my wife from 5 to 4 for undertaking. This will reduce her requirement of her income.

Thanks in advance.

I was reading a FAQ on a website, it gave me the following answer. Please confirm. thx

6. My wife had sponsored her parents one year ago. I did not cosign the

application at that time. Now, I want to sponsor my parents and my wife will

not be cosigning my application. Do I have to include the number of people

already sponsored by my wife, in total number of persons for the purpose of

determining my Minimum Necessary Income?

answer:
No. Since you have not cosigned your wife’s application to sponsor and your

wife is not cosigning your application, you need not include them in total

number of persons for the purpose of determining your Minimum Necessary

Income.
