wife open work permit once on visitor

Hi,

Wife has visitor visa and she will coming very soon. just wondering i can apply for her open work permit on basis of my International post graduate work permit ? they mentioned on their website about study permit holders wife can apply open work permit .


any one had same case like mine. you input will appreciate Thanks

Do you have a Study permit or Work permit?

If you have a Study permit ...Then yes you can apply for OWP to your spouse.

If you have a Work Permit and has a NOC A, B or O level job...Then yes you can apply for OWP to your spouse.

yes, i have work permit with skill job NOC B......what will be the procedure do i apply immediately once she will here or do i need to wait at least a month?

Apply after she joins you in Canada via Online..You will get it in 10-15 business days

All you need is

Your work permit copy, Job letter, Pay stubs, Marriage certificate, Your spouse work permit and photographs...

Note : your spouse is principal applicant....She has to fill out everything and all your documents are supporting for her application

Oh yes...you need to get the medicals done for the work permit....since she will be staying here more than 6 months.

I am not sure in Canada....For my wife I got it done back home itself as it was cheaper...you can google for locations in your place...

Hey.
My wife applied for OWP. and she got one with same expiry date as mine. once she land in canada make sure you include her in your bank account and make a joint account also include her on lease paper if you are renting. and include bank letter stating you have a joint account with your wife and lease which will confirm that you are staying together.
this is kinda supporting document to prove that you are married.
