Wife on TRV: How to update CIC or Visa office?

Hi everyone,
My wife is in Canada on tourist visa. Now from previous posts on this forum it is clear to me that she doesn't need to go back to her home country when her immigration is processed. From what I have read, she can submit her passport in Ottawa instead and go to US border to do her landing.

My question is, how and what do I tell CIC and the visa office. Do I just ask the VO to update the address to our Canadian address? Do I need to call CIC? Do I need to fill any forms?
Anyone who was or is in a similar situation please share your experience. Thank you so much for your time.

Hello,

You can update her Canadian address on Ecas. You can also send a follow-up email to make sure your VO has seen the changes. No forms need to be filled. It takes about a week for it to be updated.

I am currently in Canada as a visitor. Please make sure that your wife's status as a visitor does not expire during the processing.
