Hi,

I and my daughter are Canadian citizens and my wife came to Canada as i sponsored her and she became PR on Nov 2015 and stayed in Canada till June 2017. After that I had to move to US for work and he had to join me because it was hard for her alone to take care of 6 month old baby. So she joined me in USA in June 2017. We plan to stay here for a few years.

What would happen if her PR card expires ? Can she re-enter Canada ?

What should i be doing to keep her out of trouble while re-entering canada.

Hi

Her days outside of Canada cohabiting with her Canadian spouse count towards the PR Residency Obligation. Keep proof of the cohabitation.

To fly to Canada after PR card expiry, she will need to apply for a PRTD. Alternatively, she can cross on foot or in a private car at a land border with her expired card.
