Wife going back to home Country..??

Hi guys

I just want to find out we applied inland from Calgary Canada in early November and we still waiting, my wife needs to go back to our home country South Africa for a while. Can she go back and just send me her passport via mail when she gets there for when we get passport request?

I just want to find out we applied inland from Calgary Canada in early November and we still waiting, my wife needs to go back to our home country South Africa for a while. Can she go back and just send me her passport via mail when she gets there for when we get passport request?

She can go back to country but can't send you passport from there. There is a restriction on sending any passport internationally.

Two things you can do:
1. After getting PPR, send a CSE to change VO for her so that she can submit passport directly from her home country
OR,
2. Come back to Canada then send passport along with yours.

Oh dear. This simply is not true.

There is ONE country that I know of that prohibits its citizens from sending passports internationally, and that is India.

Unless your country specifically prohibits it, there is absolutely no reason you cannot do it. People do it all the time, that's why CIC expects it : )
