Hi,

My wife and I got ITAs today. I know the general advice is for one spouse to decline - she will probably decline since it's easier for me to get my work history etc (I've been with one company for 6 years, she's moved around).

Before we decline though, I thought I'd ask you guys. Any advice for us?

Thanks, and congratulations to everyone who got an ITA today :)

Don't decline it until you submit yours.

Only once you are able to submit one application (including the other as dependent), it is better to decline the other invitation.

If I was in your shoes, one would submit asap. The other does not but will not decline neither. Close to the three months limit if the first application looks good (not declined/rejected) then the second spouse can decline his/her nomination

Yeah, I'll submit in the next 20 days or so, and she'll decline on day 89. That seems to be the best thing to do.

Is it possible that me and my husband can both create an express entry profile?
