Dear All Friends
After application under the simplified appliction process in August 2007, I am waiting for the update letter from London office to start the processing of my application. The status has changed now as My wife are not willing to accompany me to Canada with the children. I am qualified for the 67 points without claiming any points from her. If the London office asked me to update the file and I am not willing to send my wife passport (childre included on her passport) will this result in refusual of my application after all what I have spent? and does this mean that skilled worker immigration is just for families no single one can go to canada by himslef?
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon

I do not think this will be a problem to the London office. You will have to write a detailed letter as to the reason why your family will not be accompanying you to settle in Canada. I'd advise that you tell them they will not be coming yet, but will come in the nearest future.
Good luck mate!

dear drspecialist, i had asked the same question for someone to an immigration specialist a few months ago. he told me that if your spouse is not willing to accompany you to canada, she still will have to take the medical test. moreover, you will have to produce a notarized affidavit from your wife informing the canadian immigration authorities that 1. she has no objection (NOC from wife) to your going to canada without her, 2. she will agree that she wont be a part of the immigration process for your canadian pr and thus shall not be enjoying canadian pr along with yourself, 3. she will abide by the fact that if she ever wants to leave for canada as pr,she will have to abide by the laws and rules of canadian immigration at that given moment of time. Best of luck mate. My personal view is that you all should go together and get the canadian pr card, after which your wife and kids can return to their respective country. Take care. Regards, harryk.

This is the correct procedure and 100% correct.
