Why the occupation limitations are coming?

Hi Leon/PMM/other experts,

can u explain why the limitations for FSW are coming up?? Is it for faster processing time to reduce backlog of applicants or Canada is now strict as skilled workers in all occupations are not needed???

Can anybody say whats the prospect of the occupation of computer programmar/application developers (NOC 2174)?

It is to make it faster by cutting down on processing time for occupations not needed. I think computer programmer will have a good chance but we will see. The backlog will still stay for people already in the old system, about 1 million people but they will eventually get it down.

No one knows the answer. Wait and see when you hear from the Canadian govt after the elections.
