Why is family not called for biometrics or medical?

Applying for study permit - received request to do biometrics and medial exam -- why hasn't spouse and children been requested as well?

Thank you!

Applications don’t have to be processed at same time. What permits are spouse & kids applying for?
Did you not ask same question before?

Thank you so much for your sharpness! I did ask, but I thought they would be asked within the main applicant's study permit.
Do they need to apply as visitors or can they be included within the main applicant's study permit? Because main applicant did submit the "Family Information" form...

Thank you! :)

The applications can all be sent together but the dependents have to apply for their own visas.

Thank you for the prompt answer! Since main applicant already submitted study permit application - Is there a way for spouse to create an open work permit application that is part of the study permit?...

...or would they need to create a separate application for that?

Also, can the children be apart of the spouse's open work permit application? Thank you.

Kindest :)

Spouse need to submit a separate open work permit application. Either a TRV or study permit need to be submitted for the children depending on how old they are.

Ah okay, thank you. Isn't it a lot more complicated for the spouse's OWP application to be separate from the study permit application? Especially considering if the OPW is contigent on the success of the study permit going through.

Since the study permit is yet to be approved - what would be recommended? To apply for spouse TRV until the study permit is approved and then apply for OWP?

Thank you! :)

Choice is yours. Depending when the study permit was submitted may be better to wait for approval. Spouse applies for SOWP. If kid’s are school age, they will need study permits. Still will need to show funds to support family as wells as ties to home country.

Thank you again for the prompt response!

What would you recommend: To apply for spouse's OWP and children study permit's -- while his is still being processed? Or to wait until it's fully approved and then apply for the spouse's OWP? If the person needs to leave to Canada by the end of December...

OR maybe to just apply now for a visitors visa to be on the safe side for spouse and children....

Thank you!

So you are the spouse? What country are spouse and children from (ages)? And who is in Canada? When was study permit submitted? What program/DLI?

Hello! :)

Thank you again deeply!

I'm not the spouse, no. Spouse and children are from Ecuador (ages 13 and 15)... no one is in Canada

Main applicant is going to be received his study permit soon (submitted passport, medical and biometrics)

DLI - University Canada West O1937723582

Thank you!

So main applicant, spouse and children are all in Ecuador. Just got confused because above you said “If the person needs to leave to Canada by the end of December…” so thought someone was in Canada. Has eligibility review even started. Kids are in high school so will definitely need study permits.

At this point, if you believe that permit will be approved soon (UCW is a not a great school) then wait to apply for the others.
