Hi,

belated Happy New Year everybody! All the best!

well, I've sent about 6weeks ago (beginning of December 2010) my CSQ, no answer yet...takes some time i guess.

Anyway, at the moment I'm with a Working Holiday Visa (Multiple Entry,German Nationality) here in Montreal,
and it will expire in mid July 2011.

1. Would it be early enough to apply for an extension in March 2011?

2. I guess I send it to the same address where I've sent the Perm. Residency Application?! (Some Montreal Immigration Service)

3. I guess that I also will be allowed to continue to work at my current job?!

Am I right with these "assumptions" ?!

bye, lepatissier07

1. The WHV (IEC) is for 12 months and it cannot be extended. If you wish to continue to work you will require your employer to apply for a CAQ from Quebec.
2. When you have CAQ you apply for an extension to Vegreville Alberta
3, No CAQ, no working.

Hi,

thank you PMM, I will have a look into that. :) Sounds all very complicated.

@kelKel: I found a solution regarding the Police Certificate, -> German Konsulate

http://www.bundesjustizamt.de/cln_115/nn_257944/DE/Themen/Strafrecht/BZR/BZRInhalte/WohnortA.html

according to their website, i can apply for one from here, printing the right forms, get a signature from them, and
then send it to germany. didn't think of that. I'll try that one. :)

thanks both of you for your efforts,

kind regards,
lepatissier07

hi everybody,

for all who have the same problem like me, needing a police clearance in Canada FROM germany!

--> I found out today the German Consulate in Montreal, Canada does NOT have this kind of Service anymore. (Since 2 years apparently)

2 Possible "work arounds" -> Every "Consulate Issue" such these things have been transferred to Ottawa! Go to Ottawa!

OR -> A common Police Station will do it as well for you, as long as you have the necessary Documents
with you such as Proof of Payment, Passport, Photocopy of the passport and the completed Form
as mentioned in my last message. A Notary will it as well, but you have to pay for it. (And is possibly
not as easy to find as a Police Station...)

Good Luck guys,

Regards,
lepatissier07
